We had a lovely time at the bandstand in the sunshine for our opening service.

Today we learned some words in Makaton Sign language to help us remember our Memory verse, which is: Jesus said “ I have come in order that you might have life – life in all its fullness” John Chapter 10 verse 10.

Can your child remember the signs for:

Jesus said, come, life, fullness ?

We heard the story of how Jesus called His

first disciples, or special friends. Ask your child

what Peter’s job was, and what happened when Jesus told him to throw his net in the water.

Today we have been singing a song called ‘Our God is Big’. Can your child remember it? We heard a story today about a man who was blind. Ask your child what happened when he met Jesus. We have been using a puppet to help tell the stories. Can your child remember its name? What kind of animal is it?

Today we learned that children are

particularly special to Jesus. Ask your child

how that makes them feel.

Can they remember the memory verse yet?

Makaton signs in when they say it.

David likes the children to bring jokes for us to

share. Can you help your child find a joke to

bring with them next time they come?

Today’s story was about a man who wanted

to see Jesus but it was hard for him to see

over the crowds. Ask your child why Zaccheus

couldn’t see and what he did to get over the

problem.

We have a prayer time every day, and today’s

prayer time helped us to know that when we

say sorry for doing something wrong, God will

forgive us. Ask your child what they did with

the piece of paper and the bin to show that

God forgives us and will forget all about it?
